The First Congregational Methodist Church of the U.S.A
ABOUT US
The First Congregational Methodist Church was organized in the parlor of Brother Mickelberry Merritt in Monroe County, Georgia, on May 8, 1852. When the organizers reached a point where they disagreed or didn't know what to do, they retired to an upstairs room to pray for an answer before proceeding. Several things are always necessary when we pursue the work of the Lord: we must seek his leadership, then follow that leadership. It is evident that our founders did just that.
The First Congregational Methodist Church is currently made up of over fifty churches in six states. Our national headquarters, camp, and conference facilities are located in Boaz, Alabama.
